Build Team & Community through Sponsorship

Lafarge Canada volunteers frame a house in Sheftel Court. May 2007

Building a house is a tangible investment in community development and a rewarding project for employee volunteers. Sponsorship dollars build homes in the Calgary area, helping local families and addressing the cycle of sustainability within our community at large.
The Habitat ReStore revenue covers all overhead costs for our organization allowing 100% of donations to be applied to housing construction projects. And through our 'Fund for Humanity', monthly mortgage payments are re-invested in future home construction.
Ten houses built today will generate enough revenue to build an 11th home in less than five years.
We invite all our sponsors to see their gift in action - come and swing a hammer on our construction site.
Working alongside future homeowners is an unforgettable chance to understand just what your support means. It's also a great way for employees to develop new relationships with their co-workers, learn new skills, and help the community.
Land & Development Sponsorship

Beyond providing for a single home, donors who give at this level are often laying the foundation for a whole Habitat community.
The Ismaili Community of Calgary sponsored the land development for our recent Mayland Heights complex. An Anonymous Donor gave generously to support the purchase of land to be used for a 30-unit complex in Langdon.

House Sponsorship

Prepared to help a family change their future, these sponsors provide the funding required to construct an entire home.
Their sponsorship is recognized through site signage and printed materials, a framing day for employees plus a flexible number of regular employee volunteer days throughout the project.
In many cases, our house sponsors support us annually, re-committing to the relationships and friendships that are vital to the success of our mission.

Construction Services Sponsorship
|
|
Able to offer donated or discounted trade services or building materials for a complete house or an entire project, construction services sponsors play a key role in maintaining affordability for our homeowners.
With a variety of support levels and flexible recognition opportunities available, sponsors develop a participation strategy that meets their needs and goals.
In some cases, tax receipts may be available and gifts over $10,000 will be formally acknowledged through printed materials, volunteer days or signage opportunities.
