The Calgary Exhibition and Stampede is celebrating Alberta's Centennial with a project designed to remind Stampede volunteers and the community of our agricultural roots!

For the first project in a multi-year partnership with Habitat Calgary, Calgary Exhibition & Stampede brought two partners - Rockford Developments Inc. and Qualico Communities -together with volunteers from the Stampede to build a home in seven days.

Rockford Developments volunteered to manage the build and to bring their business partners and their trade contacts together to help build the home.

Qualico Communities is a long-time Habitat for Humanity donor. With the support of Mel Munstermun, both a Stampede and Habitat volunteer, they made a lot in Taradale available for the Stampede House.

The Stampede House was framed on Friday, September 30 on the south end of the Stampede Grounds.  The completed home was moved to Taradale and on October 22, the donors and volunteers presented the keys to the new homeowners!
