Our goal is to help families break the cycle of poverty for their children.
In Calgary, many low-income families must move often in a effort to find more affordable housing. We know that each move increases the risks for children, particularly the risk of dropping out of school before graduation.
The stability and safety that come through Habitat homeownership allows children to develop a sense of belonging in their neighborhood and in their school. They make lifelong friends, belong to teams and know the neighbors.
